Best 3 Masks for Beautiful Blonde Hair

blondeI have been struggling with my hair lately. Too dry after months in the sun through unwavering California heat traveling well into October, my hair resembled hay more than luscious silk…it begged for moisture! My first step was to curve down my regular highlighting sessions and go for caramel blonde look instead by adding lowlights to my already light hair. I intend to let my roots grow, only lifting the base slightly to a warmer tone for a richer warmer fall blonde ombre. In the meanwhile, masks are a must and I am lucky to have found three excellent hair treatments to bring hair back to healthy status.

1. Davines NOUNOU Hair Mask

DavinesDavines is an amazing Italian line of hair products that is my go to since I discovered the brand a few years back in New York. NOUNOU mask is ideal for bleached, highlighted, dry or damaged hair. The nourishing formula is designed to deeply condition treated hair, making it manageable, soft and silky without weighing it down. I feel that whenever I use this mask, my hair shows significant improvement – split ends are tamed and hair feels silky and hydrated. The scent is to die for too with notes of refreshing sweet citrus.

Apply to towel dried hair after shampoo and leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinse.

  • Fiaschetto Tomato from Guaceto – nourishing power and antioxidant action
  • Olive butter – moisturizing and emollient action
  • Vitamin E – anti-oxidant action

2. Christophe Robin Shade Variation Care

CRobinIn Baby Blonde this nourishing mask strengthens hair while enhancing it with temporary, natural color – neutralizing brassy tones and restoring shine. With rich natural oils and butters it locks in moisture while saturating locks with pigment. What I love the most about this mask is that it is paraben, silicone, and ammonia free so you are not putting nasty chemicals on your skin.

Apply mask from roots to ends on towel-dried hair. Leave mask on for 5 to 30 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

  • Almond and Shea Butter and Buriti Oil – moisturizing action
  • Iridescent pigments and Fiorentina Iris – brassiness neutralizer

3. Homemade Oil Blend Mask

This one is my absolute favorite mask for it is highly nourishing, organic and easy to make at home. The amount made with the directions below will last you for months if you store it in a travel bottle. A little goes a long way with oils and the results are incredible given this mask is all natural and has only 4 ingredients. And the smell…you’ll know when you try it for it smells of tropical summers…thanks coconut 🙂

Apply mask from roots to ends on dry hair before shampoo. The longer you live it on the better but 20 minutes should suffice if you are in a rush. Shampoo and condition as usual.

So this is it for my mask collection. I hope you will love them. And please do share your finds as well! New hair treatment ideas are always welcome.
